I need to go take some newer pics since these were taken Saturday. We ended up being short two squares on the siding and it is supposed to be delivered sometime tonight or in the morning.
Arranging a project of this scope takes lots of time. This was a major storm and unless someone else experiences the damage we did, they are not going to understand the work involved on my end. My insurance adjustor said she's never settled a claim this big and it was extra hard since this isn't exactly a traditional house and the lot is heavily wooded.
Laura. my adjuster has been a joy. Pretty good sense of humor. She was joking about buying a goat to keep the grass down until we can get the ruts left by the crane repaired. Not a bad idea other than it's a pretty busy road and we have no fence to contain the goat. I sure don't have time to milk a goat either and we have enough droppings with the dog to clean up as it is. LOL!
I have a very full schedule for someone who is technically unemployed. I'm not getting compensated for all this time this week and during previous repairs spent cleaning up all the dirt that gets tracked in the house, for example. I don't get compensated for caring for family members either. Most of the time, I'm running around putting out fires so if I spend some time blogging, so be it. I'm entitled to some hobbies.
This has been a huge energy drain on me but Mother Nature came and left a mess for me to clean up behind her.
